Beginning on March 4, 2025, select galleries and other public spaces on the second floor of the museum will temporarily close to guests to accommodate long-planned gallery improvements. Rolling closures will begin with the African American galleries and expand over the next three months.
This transformative project will reimagine the presentation of the DIA’s African American, Modern, and Contemporary art galleries, with a goal to enhance the artistic experience for visitors.
This webpage will be updated periodically throughout the duration of gallery closures.
